How to use a verse once you have found it
- Read it aloud once, then again more slowly. Notice the word you slow down on.
- Write the reference and the verse on a card or in your notes. Writing it is slower than reading it, which is the point.
- Say a one-sentence prayer using that word. "Lord, I need this word today."
- Keep it in view: on your lock screen, on the fridge, on a sticky note by the kettle.
